Weitz Lab Members Present Research at APS March Meeting in Las Vegas

The Weitz Lab is proud to announce that group members Ben and Sijie recently attended the renowned APS March Meeting 2023 in Las Vegas, where they presented their innovative research. The annual event brings together physicists and researchers to discuss the latest developments in physics.
Ben delivered a talk titled "Compression Induced Syneresis and Yielding in Fibrous Oil-in-Hydrogel Emulsions," exploring the release of water and collapse of emulsion gels under compression. He examined how emulsion droplets in a fibrous gel network impact hydrogel syneresis and the optimization of water flow and retention. Sijie presented his research on the "Role of Cytoskeleton Filaments in the Transport of a Micro-Sized Particle," shedding light on the complex interactions within biological polymers during the particle transport in  a live cell.
Both presentations were well-received, highlighting the expertise and dedication of Weitz Lab Group researchers. Congratulations on their successful participation in the March Meeting!
