Weitz Lab Volleyball Team & Summer BBQ

The Notorious D.I.G. are at it again! After taking a year off due to COVID, the Harvard Rhino volleyball league is back for the summer of 2021. The Weitz Lab team, dubbed the Notorious D.I.G., is back after a strong showing in 2019 and have their sights set on the league final. They are led by team captain Thomas Cochard, who said “The team is doing great, and is in pole position for the competitive part of the league.”

The next two games are scheduled for Thursday, July 15th at 12-1pm, and Friday, July 23rd at 11am-12pm. If you’re on campus, head on over to the volleyball course near the biology labs to cheer them on.

After catching the game, come on back to the LISE patio on Friday the 16th at 6-10pm for the annual summer Weitz Lab BBQ. Food is potluck style, and drinks are on Dave. (Note that everyone in attendance should be fully vaccinated per university event guidelines.) The BBQ will be fully outdoors, so keep an eye on the lab email list for updates about rain dates as needed.
