85th New England Complex Fluids meeting – first and hopefully the last one on zoom organized by Harvard
December 4, 2020

Dave Weitz (Dept. of Physics and SEAS, Harvard University), and Bob Graham (MRSEC, Harvard University) organized successfully the 85th New England Complex Fluids zoom meeting on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 9:00am – 5:00pm EST.
The invited talks were given by Peter Schall, Laura Arriaga, Sarah Keller, and Hee-Sun Han. Seth Fraden gave the colloquium at 4 p.m.
There was a Career Advice session over lunchtime. The speakers, along with Dave Weitz had many interesting discussions with people in separate break out rooms. Some students got one-on-one advice on career opportunities outside of the university. The panelists were engaged with the students and postdocs in the soft matter community.
Please find attached the detailed schedule for NECF85.
It’s the first zoom New England Complex Fluids meeting organized by Harvard. We hope it’s the last one we did on zoom and we are eager to meet everyone in person at Harvard!
